I'm a 25 years old french software engineer at BlaBlaCar and I also develop things in my free time. I'm open to any opportunity.
Hi! I'm Angel Uriot, I'm 25, and I build things in my free time.
I like combining science and math with programming, and I'm always looking for new challenges.
I've worked on simulations, artificial intelligence, websites, games, and more... (see the
projects section).
I'm currently working as a software engineer at BlaBlaCar,
the world's most widely used car-sharing platform. I work on the backend of
BlaBlaCar Daily,
a dedicated app for short-distance carpooling. I'm responsible for diagnosing and resolving production issues, delivering end-to-end features from design through deployment with project ownership and stakeholder coordination, improving API performance and reliability to enhance user experience, and ensuring codebase quality through code reviews and refactoring.
In 2018, I enrolled at the French engineering school
Polytech Paris-Saclay
in the Computer Science major to deepen my knowledge of math, science, and software development. I explored many
technologies and theoretical concepts, and I put them into practice through various projects and internships,
including one in Singapore that broadened my cultural and technical horizons.
Besides that, I'm a content creator who simplifies scientific and computer science
concepts across social platforms such as YouTube under the alias
Dimension.
